Broadcasting Stories to Inspire Our Community
On Thursday, February 9, Children's Health Foundation and our friends at Corus Radio hosted the third annual Corus Radiothon for Children's. Our brave Foundation Ambassadors and health care partners shared their inspirational stories live from the Atrium of Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.
Throughout the day, our community showed incredible support for kids where we live, work and play! As the stories were shared with laughter and tears, the phones rang, donations were dropped off, and online and text donations poured in. Together, we raised $91,107!
With generous donor support and special guest appearances, the energy could be felt in the Atrium! The London Knights, Star Wars characters and Franklin, as well as the famous Dr. Beary Goode, stopped by to bring smiles and high-fives. Local artist and Foundation Ambassador Sarina Haggarty took to the mic to do a special acoustic performance for our listeners and guests. And country performers Tenille Arts and Jessica Mitchell stopped by to show their support.
Funds raised at Radiothon will support the highest priority needs for our partners at Children’s Hospital, Thames Valley Children’s Centre and Children’s Health Research Institute. From life-saving equipment, value-added programs and services, to innovative discoveries, funds will support the full spectrum of health care.
