Cadillac Fairview Stands by our Kids with $25,000 Donation

Cadilac FairviewIn the face of COVID-19’s significant impact on Canada’s charitable sector, Cadillac Fairview (CF) is standing by sick children in our community.

As part of this year’s significant investment in youth-based charities, CF and its London shopping centre, CF Masonville Place, have chosen Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre to receive a generous donation of $25,000 towards the Stand By Me campaign.

“At CF, we understand that the long-term success of Canadian communities is directly tied to the livelihood and success of the next generation,” says Sandra Lorentiu, General Manager, CF Masonville Place.

“We’re proud to be long-time supporters of Children’s Health Foundation and the work they are doing through the Stand By Me campaign to protect the health and wellbeing of youth in Western Ontario.”

CF’s generous gift was one of the first made to the Stand By Me campaign and supports its four priorities: emotional safety, financial relief, mental health and medical care resources.

COVID-19 has impacted Children’s Health Foundation’s fundraising already this year.

Difficult decisions had to be made to cancel or postpone fundraising events. The economic hardship has also reduced support at a time when having a strong health care system is more important than ever.

“We are grateful to Cadillac Fairview for recognizing the challenges the non-profit sector is facing and taking action to protect the lives of children,” says Scott Fortnum, President and CEO, Children’s Health Foundation.

“It is community-minded corporations and individuals, like them, that will help us through this unique and difficult time and towards a brighter future.”
