We envision a modern space that is solely dedicated to patients with cancer, focused on their safety and comfort. Currently, oncology care is spread across Children’s Hospital’s Paediatric Medical Day Unit, Emergency Department, and Inpatient Unit. Centralizing services will create a safer, more cohesive environment – especially for children with weakened immune systems – and support innovation and excellence in care.

Finding Light in the Hardest Moments: Felix’s Story
One of the most memorable moments of Felix’s cancer journey came in the middle of treatment, when the family organized a surprise rooftop rally on top of the hospital’s parking garage, which was literally outside Felix’s window. More than 150 friends, family members, and hospital staff gathered, many shaving their heads in solidarity. It was even covered by CTV.
