Throughout the week of this event, our student participants will walk 42 kilometers to celebrate the total amount of money raised this year. 42km is a full marathon, and by walking the distance we are aiming to raise the greatest amount of money possible to support the Children’s Health Foundation.
Patients from the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre usually attend, to share their inspiring stories and experiences with our students, but this year things are different and more difficult due to COVID-19. During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre has not slowed down in care. The world is dealing with a deadly pandemic, but injury and other illnesses haven’t stopped. Children’s Hospital continues to care for many kids with just as serious illnesses – such as cancer, premature birth, mental illness and heart disease. We must stand by our kids who need support more now than ever.
Our Miracle Movement Marathon will be held the week of June 6 -13, with the goal to raise as much money as possible to support thousands of sick and injured children in our region.
