Children’s Health Foundation is wagging tails and warming hearts with its latest initiative, “Pets on Pages: Turn Your Pet into a Hospital Hero!” This enchanting contest invites pet owners to submit photos of their furry friends for a chance to star in a touching children’s story, bringing comfort and joy to young patients at Children’s Hospital in London, Ontario.
From October 10 at 10 a.m. to October 24 at 11:59 p.m., animal lovers can enter their pets’ photos and potentially see them transformed into illustrated characters in a captivating tale about friendship, community and the special bond between children and their animal companions.
“We’re not just looking for cute faces – we’re searching for the next literary superstars on four legs!” says Scott Fortnum, President and CEO at Children’s Health Foundation. “This is a unique opportunity for pet owners to share their love with children who need it most. Imagine your loyal companion becoming a symbol of hope and comfort for a child facing health challenges.”
Key Contest Details:
- Duration: October 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. to October 24, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
- Voting: $1 per vote, all proceeds support Children’s Health Foundation. Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt.
- Grand Prizes: The top four animals with the most votes will each win a place in the Children’s Health Foundation storybook. Each pet will be drawn as a unique character and will be featured in a special role, inspired by the pet’s traits, within the story.
- Bonus Draw (5th Spot): One additional spot in the book will be awarded through a random draw. For every 100 votes ($1 per vote), the pet will receive one entry into the draw. The winner of this draw will have their pet featured alongside the top four fundraisers.
The winning pets will become the stars of this heartwarming story, which will be read to young patients at the hospital. Their actual names will be used in the book, making it even more special.
