To the ones behind the scenes trying to lend any assistance they can to the people who are fighting for their last breath. To the men and women who leave their families each day and put their lives on the line. To enter a workplace filled with suffering and death. There is a sentence used by the Royal Canadian Legion to honour our veterans that applies to these special people: “We Will Remember Them.”

I was finishing chemo when Covid hit.  I know how hard all of you work and I am truly grateful. Day in and out you spend your time taking care of people who can’t have their families with them. A huge heartfelt thank-you for EVERYTHING that you do all year long. You truly make a difference in the lives of your patients.

  • Melanie P.

To our front line heroes and heroines I thank you for what you are doing and have been doing during this horrible Covid-19 pandemic, Caring for both the medical and emotional impacts on your patients. You have been caring for those in hospital under difficult circumstances, and at the end of your time there often going into isolation until your next shift and missing time with your families. I imagine from the time you walk in the hospital door until you leave at the end of your shifts there is concern about what the day is going to bring and when is it going to be better.  My wish for you all is that the vaccine helps stop the spread soon, have those who resist the guidelines for safety which are in place start abiding by them and we will hopefully have a happier 2020. There are not enough ways to thank you all for what you do, please take care of yourselves and stay healthy and safe, you are much needed and appreciated and I wish you and yours well. THANK YOU ALL

-Charlotte
